Kevin’s Open Houses of the Week Picks – Oct 9 2011
Greetings from Laguna Beach!
This week I’ll be out of the Bay Area but nevertheless I wanted to pass some of tomorrow’s open houses along to you that are my picks of the week.
Some say a lot of the housing inventory that will be out before the end of the year has debuted or will debut by the middle of October. True or not, what I have seen is that several carry-over homes from the summer are now priced aggressively – they’re better deals then renting in many cases.
So, from all the open houses on this weekend, I’ve picked this group that are worth a look. They range from condos in the Mission to houses in the Inner Sunset to several new TIC opportunities with the potential for condo conversion. Prices are good and interest rates remain very, very low. Also, even if you don’t think you can afford a listing’s asking price, write an offer anyway as it gets the negotiation process running. After all, a difference of thousands in purchase price may only add up to a latte a day you forgo to get your dream house. Also, you’ll see open houses are running longer tomorrow, so there’s no excuse to skip out!
